  • Andrew Nadkarni

    director/producer | he/him

    Andrew Nadkarni is a queer multiracial filmmaker based in Brooklyn, NY. His directorial debut, BETWEEN EARTH & SKY, won Best Short at Big Sky Documentary Film Fest and will premiere on PBS/POV in Fall 2023. A 2023 BRIClab Artist in Residence, he aims to integrate sustainable community care, and trauma-informed practices into his filmmaking process, telling generational stories about diaspora communities. A graduate of NYU Tisch, he’s worked as a reader for documentary grant orgs, production supervisor on the NY Unit of KNIVES OUT 2, and production coordinator on Modern Love and Awkwafina is Nora from Queens. Andrew recently produced the narrative feature, ACTUAL PEOPLE, now streaming on MUBI.

  • Su Kim

    executive producer | she/her

    Su Kim is an Emmy® and two-time Peabody Award-winning producer. She is an acclaimed documentary producer whose credits include the Oscar®-nominated HALE COUNTY THIS MORNING THIS EVENING, FREE CHOL SOO LEE and MIDNIGHT TRAVELER. Su is a former Women at Sundance fellow and is the recipient of the 2022 Sundance Amazon Studios Nonfiction Producers Award. Films in release currently include, BITTERBRUSH, HIDDEN LETTERS, SANSON AND ME and THE TUBA THIEVES.

  • Caitlin Mae Burke

    Caitlin Mae Burke is an Emmy-winning producer. An inaugural inductee into DOC NYC's 40 Under 40 and alumna of Berlinale Talents, Caitlin's work has been broadcast and screened worldwide, recognized with Emmy, Grand Clio, and Gotham Awards, and nominated for Critic’s Choice, Independent Spirit, and Cinema Eye Honors, as well as numerous “Best of” designations at festivals. Highlights include NUTS! (dir. Penny Lane, Sundance Special Jury Prize); ANBESSA (dir. Mo Scarpelli, SIMA Award, Arte/ZDF); OBIT. (dir. Vanessa Gould; Entertainment Weekly's Top Ten Films 2016); APPROACHING THE ELEPHANT (dir. Amanda Wilder, Gotham/Independent Spirit Award noms) and WE COULD BE KING (dir. Judd Ehrlich, Emmy/Grand Clio winner.) Caitlin is the Co-Director of IF/Then Shorts at Field of Vision, where she's overseen over 95 short films from development through distribution. She is a voting member of the Television Academy (Documentary Programming branch) and lives in Brooklyn, NY.

  • Swetha Regunathan

    producer | she/her

    Swetha Regunathan is a filmmaker based in D.C. and NYC. She is especially drawn to stories about South Asian-American identity, assimilation, ecology, family, and nostalgia. She’s received awards from the Bluecat Screenplay Competition, the Peter S. Reed Foundation, South Asian Film Festival of America and Indian Film Festival of LA, and was a finalist for the SHOWTIME® Tony Cox Screenplay Contest. Regunathan was selected for the Cine Qua Non Storylines Lab (2020), 1497 Writers Lab (2020) and 2020-21 IFP Marcie Bloom Fellowship in Film. Regunathan received an MFA from NYU’s Graduate Film program; a PhD in English Literature from Brown University; and a BA in English from Columbia University.

  • Katie Schiller

    producer | she/her

    Katie is a queer filmmaker based in Brooklyn, NY. She received the John Cassavetes Award at the 2022 Film Independent Spirit Awards for SHIVA BABY (SXSW, TIFF 2020). Katie recently produced the shorts, THE LADIES (Outfest 2022) and CHAPERONE (Sundance 2022). Katie produced the 3-part docuseries Lesbian Bar Project now available on the Roku Channel. She holds a BFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and a Masters of Social Work from Fordham University. Katie owns and operates It Doesn’t Suck Productions, where she carries out soup to nuts producing with a focus on women, the LGBTQIA+ community, and stories it would really suck not to tell.

  • Peter Zachwieja

    editor/associate producer | he/him

    Since graduating with honors from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts Peter has joined the ranks of illustrious editors at Cutters Studios in New York City. Among his growing list of commercial credits, he has contributed to high-profile campaigns for Getty Images, Mazda, the Emmy Award-winning Savage x Fenty Show while continuing to expand his filmography. Zachwieja is the editor of Academy Award and Emmy Award-winning filmmaker Vanessa Roth’s feature documentary LIBERATION HEROES: THE LAST EYEWITNESSES, produced by June Beallor in association with USC’s Shoah Foundation.

  • Joe Van Eeckhout

    Joe Van Eeckhout is a freelance DP/cinematographer, and filmmaker. He specializes in documentary and non-fiction film and television. From 2016 to 2018 he was based as a freelancer in Nairobi, Kenya. He has been a cinematographer for multiple documentary films like HBO’s THE LAST CRUISE and National Geographic's THE FIRST WAVE. Recently he has worked on projects for clients including; HULU, CBS Documentaries, The New York Times, The Travel Channel, The Guardian, VICE, and many more. He gravitates towards character-driven stories that explore important issues, and prefers a more engaging and intimate handheld style of filming.

  • Derek Knowles

    Derek Knowles is a documentary filmmaker whose work has been featured as a Vimeo Staff pick and on outlets like The Atlantic. He prefers to focus his work on people’s unheralded, often overlooked experiences, and has been a part of projects for Frontline, National Geographic, CNN, POV, and The Documentary Group. His recent film, AFTER THE FIRE, winner of the Tribeca Film Institute's "IF/Then" Shorts Award, follows three residents of his hometown in the months following 2017’s historic wildfires. It aired on California PBS stations in August 2019. Derek graduated with honors from Stanford University in 2011 with a degree in American Studies.

    Sari Mellafe is an American-Chilean multi-instrumentalist musician and composer based in Los Angeles, California. She specializes in TV and film scores/syncs. Her sound blends elements from different genres such as instrumental, atmospheric, indie, folk, pop, ambient, electronic, classical, rock, and more. Her work has been featured in film, television, and commercials such as: SALMON FISHING IN THE YEMEN, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, The Fosters, The Whispers, Drop Dead Diva, Jane by Design, Tony Hawk Pro Skater 5, Google, Target, and more.
